The Atascocita Forest Community Pool will be opening for the 2022 Pool Season on June 2nd, 2022! Pool tags will be issued for free twice the week of 5/8/22, once during the week on and once on the weekend on dates to be determined. The pool will open the weekend of Memorial Day on Saturday, May 28th, 2022 from 11 am until 8 pm and will be open Sunday, May 29th from 12 pm until 7 on and on Monday, May 30th from 11 am until 8 pm. The pool will be closed Tuesday, May 31st for cleaning. The pool will officially open for the season Wednesday 6/1/22 at 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Please note all Association dues must be current or a payment plan in place in order to receive pool tags.
If you are not available on the scheduled date to pick up pool tags, they will be available at the Goodwin & Co. office during business hours for $5: up to free tags per household, each person entering the pool area must have a tag regardless of age.
Guests will not be allowed at the current time due to restrictions on the allowable number of people in the pool at current time, but this may change at as regulations are lifted.
Two additional tags may be purchased for $5 each pet household.
Pool tags and a signed waiver are required for pool entry. The waiver will be made available at time of pick up of the pool tags for all residents or you can find it here.
The pool is available to Atascocita Forest residents and their guests only. Guests are considered to be:
A relative who occasionally visits a resident of Atascocita Forest
A visiting friend of a resident
A relative or friend here on vacation
Residents of Atascocita Forest without their own pool tag(s) may not be the guest(s) of a resident with a pool tag
Pool tags must be checked by attending staff before admittance.
Pool users must obey lifeguards and other supervisory personnel. Talking with lifeguards while on duty is prohibited.
Any child 16 years of age or younger must be accompanied by the child's parent or a person 17 years of age or older. Children under the age of 17 may not enter the pool if unaccompanied by an adult.
Parents are responsible for their children and guests in the pool / splashpad area.
Glass containers and alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the pool / splashpad area. Food and drinks are not allowed in the splashpad area.
Pets are not allowed within the fenced pool / splashpad area.
Loud music in the pool / splashpad area is prohibited.
Loud, abusive, or foul language will not be tolerated.
Approved floatation devices include: small-sized tubes and floaties worn on the body. Large floats are prohibited.
Proper swimming attire is required: cut-offs or t-shirts are not allowed in the pool.
Long hair must be tied back or put into a cap.
Showers must be taken before entering the pool and after using the restroom facilities.
Infant and toddlers must wear disposable swim pants such as little swimmers. Diapers are not allowed in the pool or on the splashpad.
Swimmers should use commercial sun / UV protective creams, lotions, and sprays only. Cocoa butter, baby oil, margarine, and similar materials are insoluble in pool water.
Only soft balls and other small pool toys are allowed unless they become an annoyance to others (i.e. no tennis balls, footballs, racquetballs, etc.).
Swimmers in the water have the right-of-way. Those entering the water must make certain no one is in front of them.
Running or rough-housing (throwing each other, pushing, dunking, splash fights, dog fights, etc.) in the pool / splashpad area is prohibited.
Jumping off backwards or in a manner that throws the head back toward the side of the pool is prohibited. Flips from the side of the pool are not allowed.
Do not sit or hang on the diving board.
Only one person on the board at a time.
Divers should swim immediately to the nearest ladder and exit the water.
Do not swim under the diving board or into the diving area.
Individuals are not permitted to catch or assist children jumping from the diving board.
Diving in shallow water (5 feet or less) is not allowed.
Chewing gum while in the water is not allowed.
For the health and safety of all swimmers, anyone with an open sore or a communicable disease is prohibited from entering the water. Splashpad: Persons having or reasonably suspected to have any considerable areas of exposed sub-dermal tissue, cuts, open sores, blisters, bandaged wounds, known or recognizable communicable diseases, cough, cold, fever, inflammation of the eyes, or ear or nasal discharge will not be allowed to enter the splashpad area.
Spitting, urinating, blowing of nose, spouting water, or depositing foreign matter is strictly prohibited.
Stay off the rope dividing the pool's deep water area from the shallow area.
Lifeguards are employed to ensure the safety of swimmers. They have authority to remove from the pool area anyone disobeying the rules or endangering the safety of him/herself or others.
Lifeguards have the authority to suspend offenders for one day. Additional violations will be reported to the pool committee. Repeat violations will result in revocation of swimming privileges for the remainder of the season.
One long whistle blast means to clear the pool. Lifeguards have the ultimate authority.
Be alert to help anyone in trouble. Call for help immediately. Do not move or remove injured people from the water who complain of back or neck pain.
Anyone caught within the locked fenced pool area after hours will be suspended for the remainder of the summer and trespassing charges will be filed against him/her.
Pool phone is available for emergency use only.
The pool / splashpad is subject to be closed during severe weather conditions as determined by the lifeguards. E.g., thunder / electrical storms, heavy rain, tornadoes, etc.
